Job Overview

West Summit General Contracting, a premier general contractor and construction manager in Seattle, WA, is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to join our team. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for our construction projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software. These drawings will serve as essential guides for building and construction, requiring precision and adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting techniques and a keen eye for detail, supporting the success of our projects from concept to completion.

Job Requirements

Associate’s degree or certification in CAD drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably within the construction or architectural industry.
Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit, and familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes.
Strong understanding of construction terminology, building design, and blueprint reading.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and error-free drawings.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under tight deadlines.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in CAD technologies and construction methods.
